General Syed Asim Munir Ahmed Shah is a prominent Pakistani military officer currently serving as the 11th Chief of Army Staff (COAS) of the Pakistan Army, a position he assumed in November 2022. Notably, he is the first army chief in Pakistan's history to have led both of the country's premier intelligence agencies: Military Intelligence (MI) and the Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) .
